MISIÓN.
La misión del programa de Ingeniería Agroforestal es formar profesionales idóneos en el diseño y adopción de sistemas agroforestales que permitan un desarrollo económico, social y ambiental sostenible, manteniendo la diversidad biológica y cultural de las diferentes regiones, minimizando el impacto sobre los ecosistemas del país.

PERFIL PROFESIONAL
El Ingeniero Agroforestal de UNITROPICO tendrá la capacidad de diseñar, generar, planear, adoptar y administrar modelos o sistemas de producción sostenible, basados en el uso eficiente de los recursos naturales de la región y del país, además de identificar y analizar problemáticas ambientales que lo lleven a una correcta toma de decisiones.

PERFIL OCUPACIONAL
El ingeniero Agroforestal podrá desempeñarse como asesor o consultor de proyectos de carácter ambiental que involucren productividad del suelo, planificación y ordenamiento agroforestal y de cuencas, proyectos de reforestación, estudios de biodiversidad y trabajos de promoción y organización comunitaria para el desarrollo de la agroferestería.
